Adding Mobility Back To Dogs

If you notice that your dog is having a few difficulties with walking and getting up and down, then consider giving a supplement that can bring back some of the life to the joints. Cetyl myristoleate for dogs is a product that has been in use since 1972. This is one of the supplements that is often recommended for treating arthritis in dogs as well as other animals, such as cats and horses.

One of the things that you might notice about the supplement is that it can reduce pain felt in the animal. If dogs aren’t in pain, then it can be easier for them to lead a normal life that is filled with playing and interacting with the family.

It can help to increase the mobility of the joints. As dogs age, they develop health issues just like their owners. When you notice that your dog can’t jump as high or can’t stand for as long without the legs shaking, then it might be time to think about using a supplement that can add fluid back to the joints. Once the joints are lubricated, they can begin to function as they did when the dog was younger. This isn’t to say that the dog will act like a puppy. It only means that there will be more comfort than there was before.

When you give the supplement to the dog as soon as you notice a change in motion, then you will likely see better results. The product needs time to work in the body, and if you wait until the dog is almost to a crippled state where it can’t move well, then you might not see the full benefits. There is a possibility that the supplement can cause an upset stomach, so you should give it with food. There are some products that can be purchased over the counter while others that are in a stronger dose can be received from a veterinarian. There is no time limit as to how long you should give the supplement to the dog, but it’s not something that should be needed for the rest of the dog’s life.

Having an older Shepard myself, I know how important this is for the dogs. These are great tips and even with an older dog that has arthritis, I can say things like this are very important.
