Quick And Easy Home Remedies for Jock Itch
Jock itch can not only be bad for you in the case of a fungal infection and bacterial overgrowth, but can also lead to some very embarrassing moments if you suddenly experience an itchy feeling in those parts when in public. Tea Tree Oil
Since tea tree oil has already been used for many problems regarding skin condition with admirable results, it’s obvious that simply dipping a cotton ball in the oil and applying it on the affected area will heal that jock itch in no time!
The dehydrating properties of alcohol will create a dry environment around the jock area that prevents that bacteria from multiplying and thriving as they love warm and moist environments. An alcohol with high isopropyl amount is recommended for this purpose.
While it’s downright weird to be using a mouthwash on the jock area to treat itching, but the antifungal and antibacterial properties of listerine makes it one of the best home remedies for jock itch. Do not wash it off after application as that will once again lead to bacterial growth.
Aside from the antifungal properties of garlic, it can also somewhat provide a relief from the pain. Just crush a few loves to make a paste out of it and apply on the affected area for ~5 minutes and wash with lukewarm water afterwards.
If you don’t want to apply certain substances on your jock that stay there for a long time, you could try having a salt bath. Salt bath will not only prevent the spreading of the infection but also relieve you of the itchy sensation.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Not only does application apple cider vinegar on the affected area stops the infection from spreading, it also actually helps you in getting rid of it. Just make sure you have diluted it in 3 parts water and washed thoroughly after 5 minutes of application. Repeat this 2-3 times every day and you’ll notice the itch reducing and then gone in no time! If you don’t have ACV available, white vinegar works as well!
