Quick Antiseptic Soap
A basic antiseptic soap is one of the best projects to try your hand on if you’re a newbie when it comes to soapmaking- you need just 2 ingredients, and you’re all set to have a fragrant, antiseptic soap ready!
- Glycerin soap base (2 cups)
- Tea tree oil (2 tbsp)
Directions: Add both tea tree oil and glycerin soap base in a container. Mix them well and heat till the solution doesn’t transform into a transparent liquid. Put the mixture in a container and allow it to cool.
Ginger soap is an excellent natural soap, perfect for expecting mothers. Bathing with this homemade soap could help relieve nausea and morning sickness.
- Basic soap mix (2 cups)
- Dried ginger flakes (2 tbsp)
Directions: Mingle basic soap mix and dried ginger flakes together in a vessel. Heat until the mixture combines well. Cool and cut it into small squares for use.
Lavender Rosemary Soap
The unique combo of lavender and rosemary works wonderfully in calming down the senses and reliving anxiety and stress naturally. Having a bath with this soap before going off to bed is an effective way to tackle insomnia and other sleep disorders naturally.
- Rosemary oil ( ½ tsp)
- Lavender oil (1 ½ tsp)

- Basic soap base or glycerin (3 cups)
Directions: Mix all the above mentioned ingredients in a microwave safe container. Rotate in microwave for about two minutes. Once the mixture appears be lump free, pour it in soap case. Place it in the refrigerator to cool.
Gentle Plantain Soap
Suffering from sensitive skin? Hate the fact that literally every product causes red rashes and bumps on your skin? Try whipping up this gentle plantain soap which promises to cleanse and nourish your skin gently!
- Glycerin soap base (2 cups)
- Plantain oil (2 tbsp)
- Glycerin (1/4 cup)
- Water (1/8 cup)
Directions: Pour water and soap base in a container. Use a standard mixer for grinding plantain leaves and glycerin. Add it to the container in which water and soap base are already poured. Heat in microwave or over flame until solution doesn’t melt. Allow it to cool and you’re done!
Aloe Vera Soap
Aloe vera is another amazing natural moisturizer- this soap combines the healing antibacterial properties of aloe vera with the astringent properties of nettle leaf, and moisturizes, tones and cleanses your skin all at once!
- Aloe vera gel (1 cup glycerin soap base)
- Aloe vera gel (1/8 cup)
- Nettle leaf (2 tbsp)
Directions: Add all the ingredients together in a microwave friendly bowl. Place it in microwave until the soap melts. Pour in mould and let it set for a while.
